IMG_1057IMG_1047IMG_1031I have loved every sacred moment that God has blessed me with our first child and I can only imagine how much fuller life will be with our second. The road leading here has been long suffering but worth it. From the first moment we saw the positive test, first heart beat, healthy growth and now this photographic memory has been nothing but hopeful joy.

I saw this elegant dress and fell in love with it. I took the chance of ordering it online while praying that it would fit because it is not a maternity dress. Thank you Lord, it did!

One of the couple times I feel most beautiful is when expecting and there has been no greater expectation than that of motherhood.

Over the Knee

Hat: World Market / Sunglasses & Clutch: Aldo / Dress: Nordstrom Rack / Boots: Macys (Nine West) / Lip Color: Stilleto Red by Too Faced

Happy Sunday ya’ll!  Today’s sermon was two fold for me. I was reminded that as I have been dressing up, lighting up and waiting up for my new bundle of joy, I am to continue doing the same for Jesus! I love when there is confirmation for anything I have been doing in my life but especially when it comes to fashion and Jesus!

Although I am now bed ridden and will be spending all my time in pajamas I can look back to say that I truly enjoyed dressing the bump while I could. Some days, like this one, I felt more fabulous than others so it was my inspiration to go all out. I am so glad I did because I had no idea this would be my last day enjoying pregnancy in heels while out on the town. Despite the battle of getting these over the knee boots zipped up they have been my “go to” pair for dressed up looks. I chose not to pair flats for this ensemble because the heels are not too high and not too low, just right …. right?

God bless,

P.S. I linked a similar suede pair of over the knee boots in the nine west link above!

Helllloooo. Once again I have been MIA for far too long. I have been so busy since the summer with moving and adjusting to the new adventures of our life. There is also the obvious, pregnancy. I apologize for not keeping everyone in the loop during my first, second and shoot even most of my third trimester. I will do my best to catch ya’ll up. Don’t worry  you haven’t missed much and I’m still strutting around in heels unless I am forced by the husband to wear flats. Therefore, you will see most of my looks with heels and flats. I got the “mommy to be” covered! Here is a simple and casual look that I wore while nest shopping this week, enjoy!

Good morning! I’m on my last train ride into NYC. We have enjoyed the stay on Long Island but are excited to spend the next couple of days in the city. For today’s hour ride I chose to go for a simple look. I like these ripped skinnies to give the look some texture and the wedges to slightly dress it up. Although the jean and t-shirt combo may be basic it is perfect for comfort, making my ride that much more relaxing. Hope you can relax a little today too!

Friday Fun

Top: Baby Gap / Purse: Zara Girl Collection / Pants: Macy’s / Shoes: gifted
Happy Friday! Each Friday I enjoy a “mommy and me” date with my daughter Lyianna. We are currently en route to New York City by train. The weather today is cool and we are excited for the chance to be outside without melting! I am leaving what to do up to Lyianna so we shall see what today brings.

Enjoy your weekend!

Graphic Tee

Sunglasses: Marc Jacobs / Top: Old Navy ( here ) / Jeans: Nordstrom Rack / Sandals: Target

Bon Voyage! I’m currently awaiting to board my flight to the next destination of our vacation. When traveling I really look to wear something comfortable and versatile for temperature changes. For example, I pretty much always wear these jeans when traveling during Spring or Summer. I choose these jeans because of the rips which keep me cool enough from the heat but warm enough in air conditioned areas. The oversized t-shirt is strictly for comfort. My husband was always teasing me because I didn’t own any t-shirts so I went shopping for some. I found this for a great deal, $7! It is quite fitting for a travel ensemble no?

Happy belated Mother’s Day to all you mothers and single dads out there! I spent my Mother’s Day differently this year! I usually go to church, brunch, and the beach. This year we happened to plan or vacation during this blessed  holiday. Therefore, I spent the day at Epcot park in Disneyworld. It also happened to be their Flower and Garden Festival. The surplus of flower arrangements everywhere were just beautiful! Knowing this was the theme of the park I dressed in theme. So, I decided to go with this breathable look. I built around these thin floral slacks, which are perfect for spring. I enjoyed brightening the outfit with these ” Daphne” pumps from the Sara Jessica Parker Collection. Her shoes are incredibly comfortable, so much that I was able to walk around the park for half the day! It was only because of rides that I changed shoes!

Here for the fun

Hello from Disneyworld! I usually wear Dinsey apparel and I will the next few days but this graphic tee was perfect for my first day. A big kid at heart, I am here for the fun!

Nautical Blues

Sunglasses: Marc Jacobs / Top: Old Navy ( sold out but similar here / Shorts: old

Good morning y’all! Hope your week went well and the weekend goes even better. My weekend is about to get better too. Today we officially begin our vacation. A much-needed time of r&r. We are finally making the trip to Disney World. I was so excited last night that I could not sleep but it reminded me of how I used to do that the night before Disneyland trips as a little girl. I was born and raised in California which led to my growing up in Disneyland. Due to this background I must confess that I am a Disney nerd. I have no shame and am happy that I married a man who is the same. As kids we never imagined we would be able to go to Florida for the experience. Thankfully, Florida has been our home for the last three years and makes for the perfect opportunity to go. I just can’t believe we were able to wait this long! This is what I am wearing. Although blue is not one of my favorite colors,  stripes is one of my favorite patterns. So I feel confident, comfortable and excited to be dressed for the occasion. No outfit says “vacation style” more than that of a Nautical look!
