Sunday’s Style in Mexico

Dress: Gifted (TJ Maxx) | Sandals: Unlimited

I’m back y’all! A blog about my mission trip to Mexico City isn’t quite finished but check back soon. In the mean time, I thought I would at least do a few blogs on what I wore. I’m starting with this Mexican-inspired printed maxi.

A good friend of mine was getting rid of this gem, can you believe that?! After quickly looking it over for any damage or malfunctions I found none. One girls trash is another girls treasure, right!? She later shared how it had just shrunk in length making it perfect for my height.

At the time of adding this piece to my wardrobe my mission trip to Mexico was a couple months off. I may have had time to pack but I immediately knew how perfect it would be for the trip because of the print alone. Then I realized that the material was light weight which really sold me on taking it. I remember thinking how it would be perfect for my packing minimally goals and it was. I packed less than a majority of the men and boys on our trip y’all! I will do a what to pack for mission trip post another time, promise.

You can probably see in the photos that the only issues I had wearing this dress was the bra ( go brawless with this style y’all) and have a more toned back ( nothing working out can’t fix) …

until next time lovelies,

A Grey Day

I am loving the grey weather today. It made for a great excuse to sleep in and cozy up to my babes. I was also happy to cozy up in this grey fringed poncho. No, I didn’t match my look to the weather on purpose, lol.

I recently shared that I appreciate capes and ponchos but it has to be stated again, especially, for my preggos. I really love having these pieces in my wardrobe and more so while I have been pregnant. You can dress them up or down with such ease and yes, it is another great find among Pink Blush’s maternity clothes.

Being this far into my pregnancy many things are getting quite uncomfortable so it felt really good to be able to wear this. I was able to move around freely and stay warm for our cold activities today.

Enjoy your Saturday folks!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I have started the year off with a surprise baby moon getaway. I was not expecting this at all. However, I have to agree with my sweet and romantic husband. Time away for both of us to be pampered and catered to is a necessity before becoming a family of four, especially since that is going to be “any day now”.

Of course, knowing me my husband told me to pack something a little fancy. Now this is usually not a problem but when you are in your ninth month of expecting fancy is hard. However, thanks to Pink Blush Maternity it was no big deal. I knew exactly what to pack. When searching through their maternity clothes I found this top. I am a sucker for anything black but I”m even more of a sucker for anything sequins. So the combination of black with sequins elbows had me at hello. The holidays also known as “sequins season” may be officially over but this is not the case for me. It is always sequins season in my life. I couldn’t even go the first day of the year without a little sparkle, baby bump and all!

While baby moons and sequins tops have me like YAY, I am most excited for yet another year’s new beginnings through Jesus Christ! ” Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold the new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Blessings to your New Year,

Happy Winter ya’ll! I was beginning to worry because it was feeling more like Cali or Miami weather here. Today, however, this was not the case. Temperatures dropped down into the forties and this is what I prefer. It can be quite challenging to bundle up during winter as a pregnant woman without spending a fortune. I am happy to announce that I have by partnered with Pink Blush Maternity  to bring you affordable options! Ladies, they have really cute maternity clothes!

I already own more than enough coats but none of them fit my baby bump. This presented a problem with Winter’s arrival. So I can’t tell you enough how grateful I am for this maternity boutique. While browsing through their maternity clothes I found this white tweed coat and immediately fell in love.  I am even more fortunate that it is something I can wear before and after pregnancy too.

I decided on a casual black & white look for the holidays and this coat brought my look into balance. I subtly added a touch of bling with my earrings! If you prefer to be less casual and more fancy check out Pink Blush’s maternity dresses! Did I forget to mention the best thing about this online boutique? Oh, well I apologize. Are you ready? They are not a maternity only boutique so for all of my non preggo readers out there I still have your back! Go on be excited now that you know you can check them out too.
