Flash Back Friday

Happy Friday! I wanted to start by thanking those of you who have sent the sweetest emails congratulating me on our newest edition, thank you! Your prayers, support, and encouragement have been heart warming.

I also wanted to say thank you to those that have emailed requesting styled looks of the awkward post baby weight stage. They are coming soon! I appreciate your enthusiasm as it keeps me motivated and excited.

In the mean time I decided to repost pictures from one of my first blog posts! What better day than on #flashbackfriday, right? This dress and me at this body weight is my motivation. I chose not to look at celebrities or other fit mothers for goals, instead I looked to myself and what I know my body can already do! I suggest this for every mommy out there, be your own inspiration!

This is definitely a Spring/Summer look and that isn’t exactly weather permitting, huh? Ok maybe for all my Floridians it is but for me? Not so much. However, Spring is the realistic time I’ve set for myself to get back into pre-pregnancy shape as seen in the photos. Wish me luck!

Sunday in Black

Happy Sunday! I originally had planned to wear a dress but it is too cold. I improvised and decided on this all black layered look. Despite the sleeveless part of the tunic it keeps me quite warm because it is made of wool. I am at the point where I can not close any coats or vests due to baby bump so I added a skinny belt. It worked perfectly. I added texture by choosing these leather over the knee boots opposed to my usual Hunters. I definitely feel chic and church ready.

I am so excited for church today for a few reasons.  The first being it is our last Sunday as a family of three , in just two days we will be a family of four!  Next, a new sermon series called relationship goals begins today and you can check out the trailer here. It is going to be an even more enjoyable service because we will be with friends we invited. They are coming for the first time and that is very exciting!

Hope you all end your weekend well,

Good evening! I’m realizing Texas weather is very similar to Cali weather. It can’t seem to make its mind up. Today it reached the high sixties but there is forecast for snow next week, weird. Regardless, I’m grateful for the rare opportunity to wear a maxi dress in the Winter.
I kept the seasonal vibes by pairing the dress with this leather and fur jacket. I stayed comfortable with these simple ballet flats and  to avoid fixing my hair or makeup I accessorized with the hat and glasses. Who else loves the simple fixes for laziness?

Blessings to your weekend,

A Grey Day

I am loving the grey weather today. It made for a great excuse to sleep in and cozy up to my babes. I was also happy to cozy up in this grey fringed poncho. No, I didn’t match my look to the weather on purpose, lol.

I recently shared that I appreciate capes and ponchos but it has to be stated again, especially, for my preggos. I really love having these pieces in my wardrobe and more so while I have been pregnant. You can dress them up or down with such ease and yes, it is another great find among Pink Blush’s maternity clothes.

Being this far into my pregnancy many things are getting quite uncomfortable so it felt really good to be able to wear this. I was able to move around freely and stay warm for our cold activities today.

Enjoy your Saturday folks!

Happy New Year

Happy New Year! I have started the year off with a surprise baby moon getaway. I was not expecting this at all. However, I have to agree with my sweet and romantic husband. Time away for both of us to be pampered and catered to is a necessity before becoming a family of four, especially since that is going to be “any day now”.

Of course, knowing me my husband told me to pack something a little fancy. Now this is usually not a problem but when you are in your ninth month of expecting fancy is hard. However, thanks to Pink Blush Maternity it was no big deal. I knew exactly what to pack. When searching through their maternity clothes I found this top. I am a sucker for anything black but I”m even more of a sucker for anything sequins. So the combination of black with sequins elbows had me at hello. The holidays also known as “sequins season” may be officially over but this is not the case for me. It is always sequins season in my life. I couldn’t even go the first day of the year without a little sparkle, baby bump and all!

While baby moons and sequins tops have me like YAY, I am most excited for yet another year’s new beginnings through Jesus Christ! ” Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creature; the old things passed away; behold the new things have come.” 2 Corinthians 5:17

Blessings to your New Year,
